Since I never dared to wear a bright shade, I got a sample of MAC Russian Red from 'The Body Needs' to see how it looked on me. But what I liked more was the natural colour it gave my lips when applied slightly. I saved it preciously because it was like my holy grail lipstick. I wanted to buy a REAL RUSSIAN RED but I kept hesitating (dunno why. Maybe the price? or I'm lazy? 0-o ).
Okay, here comes the conspiracy. I opened the tiny stick of sample in a restroom and the sample fell directly into the sink hole. Like exactly through the center of the hole (mother of conspiracies! ). And I stood there in front of the mirror trying to figure out what happened.
Well, it is gone and that's how I bought another one (I feel proud now).

With all the rave reviews and hype, it doesn't need much introduction. It is THE Red with blue undertones which suits nearly all skin tones. I love the texture which is matte yet it doesn't dry out the lips. It doesn't bleed and stays on for a pretty long time. It is well-pigmented and gives a good coverage. It doesn't transfer much and no need to reapply.
